also known as an “image placeholder”.
if you still have no idea what i’m talking about..

it’s this little thing:

anywho! if you’re like me and hate seeing this little icon before an image is loaded, there’s a super easy way to get rid of it.

  • type: about:config into your address bar and press enter.
  • now in the “filter” box, type: image_placeholders
  • you should see: browser.display.show_image_placeholders. you see it? sweet. now double click on it until the Value changes to “False”. and there you go!
