These are style scripts you can install to change the look of your
Myspace homepage, but you need a few things before you can rock one of
these “skins”:
2. Install the GreaseMonkey extension (get it here)
3. Close Firefox & Re-open it. (you might wanna bookmark this page)
4. Choose one of the themes below:
to uninstall or change one of these scripts:
>>right click the monkey icon (bottom right corner in firefox)
>>click “manage user scripts”
>>highlight the theme you no longer want
>>click uninstall
>>install the new one!
I have removed the download links because the old homepage design is no longer being used on myspace.. If you still have the “old” homepage and would like to use one of these layouts below, leave a comment :) if enough people want them back, i’ll repost the links!

when it tells me to click install it does nothing? then i go to greasemonkey in the corner and it says no scripts installed i checked to make sure greasemonkey was also up and running i have also exited your page and closed firefox reopened everything to try it again but still nothing any ideas ***darkstarr***
dont know what happened but its working now!!!! a few minor difficulties on my end… but your site is still by far the best ive seen… keep it coming, i will periodically check in for updates…darkstarr

ive done all your intructions, but then i went to install greasemonkey extension and it downloaded but then said “Windows does not recognize this file” i figured it mustve been mistaken so i closed or Firefox and reopened it to download the layout and when it did it opened to a new page with basically a layout code, but idk if thats what shouldve happnd and i dont know what to do. please help me.

i had the COMMENTS ON YOUR HOMEPAGE
then i decided to download this, HOMEPAGE LAYOUT.
obviously it’ll not work if i downloaded the COMMENTS ON YOUR HOMEPAGE first.
and then i followed your ATTENTION blurb.
after installing the HOMEPAGE LAYOUT (the layout worked), i uninstalled then reinstall the COMMENTS ON YOUR HOMEPAGE.
i guess it’s my lucky day because it didn’t work out.
i came up with an idea to uninstall everything.
when i decided to just install the HOMEPAGE LAYOUT alone, it didn’t work at all.
i even restarted my laptop, cleared my private datas and the it’s the same banana.
here’s what’s popping on my screen everytime i try to install the HOMEPAGE LAYOUT script:

ppl if ok all u have to do is click Install and then presss reload then at the bottom of ur screen right next to the lil monkey it will say Install done or something like that i don’t really reamember tho but that how it worked for me everytime
If the install button doesn’t work, then click the back button on the browser and then the forward button. A window should pop up and you can click install on there and it should work.
when i click the button that says install when the script pops up nothing happens like its not responding. any idea how to fix this?

yeah i was having problems with the downloads, sorry! if you have problems (nothing happens when you click the “install” button) just refresh the page and the installation box should appear.

I tried downloading one of the homepage layouts. When I click run it says error!!!
Here’s what I do to install the layout. Click “Install This Homepage!” then on the next page click “Install” on the little pop up at the top. If nothing happens then click back on your browser, then click forward again. A script installation box should pop up. Click install and you got it. FYI – make sure you have Fire Fox and GreaseMonkey installed as mentioned in the beginning of this page.

Okay, so this is pretty fuckin awesome everyone.
if you follow it step by step it should turn out.
but when u first do it and you come to a page that looks like a layout.
all you have to do is click refresh and mozilla will ask u if u want to install the thingy.
if you didn’t notice when you were on the layout page the install button won’t work at the top.
but when you click refresh it will do it for you.
and that’s all you ahve to do.
then you type in myspace at the top and sign in and your homepage will be the layout you chose.
it’s pretty awesome you guys.

There is a slight problem with the code now since MySpace has rewritten it. The signout link, which was originally Classifieds, doesn’t work. I’m a very big newbie with coding this type of stuff but I’ve found 2 solutions, both of which will edit the following code at the bottom of the scrpits:

Solution 1:
html = document.body.innerHTML.replace(/profile.myspace.*Classifieds/, ‘collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=signout”>Signout’);
document.body.innerHTML = html;
- This option will leave ONLY the Home link and Signout link on the navbar
Solution 2:
html = document.body.innerHTML.replace(/home.myspace.*Home/, ‘collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=signout”>Signout’);
document.body.innerHTML = html;
- This option will replace the Home link on the navbar and make it into the Signout link.
I know there is a better solution out there, but knowing as little as I do about this stuff, I got something to work. Please, let me know of a better way if you know one. Thanks

Nevermind. I got it to work, but they don’t work right with the new home skin.
i instailed the firefox but i just dont understand i picked my layout homepage && it saved to my desktop bbut the thing didnt say to instail to myspace..im just confused,help!
You need Firefox since IE doesn’t support add-ons.
Ok, so myspace released custom homepages and now the custom myspace pages dont work.. atleast mines not working anymore. Is there gonna be a work around to get it to work?
I swore I posted a comment here a few weeks ago. Did y’all delete it? lol =; Sup with getting this updated? Now that myspace has their own custom themes, they changed some stuff around and these themes don’t work.
I have it installed, but i dont know how to make it work from here.
i dont get why u need to pick a layout at first or y u need the layout code…..also my myspace page layout doesnt extend throughout the whole page..only like the mid section..thx for help
