Q. What do I need to get to install this?
A. Follow the 4 steps below, then comeback and click the install link.
2. Install the GreaseMonkey extension (get it here)
3. Close Firefox & Re-open it. (you might wanna bookmark this page)
4. Install one of the scripts below.

you can even customize the colors! after installing, follow these steps:
1. right click the little monkey’s head in your status bar: 
2. click manage user scripts.
3. select “Comments On Homepage”
4. then click the edit button. (click here for help)
5. replace the 6 digit hex color code with your own and save!
*follow same steps to edit other options
**if you’re having problems with the logo from my custom hompages showing up instead of the comments, make sure you install this script AFTER a custom homepage script.
v.05 notes & updates: (UPDATED 9/10/07)
- myspace changed an element id that was being used to grab the friend id, which caused the.. yeah it didn’t work, but i fixed it, again!
- also fixed the height issue.

- this script is using a hidden comments page, and will most likely be fixed by myspace soon.. so i have no idea how long this will work. if it does stop working please install v.01 again. remember, v.01 does NOT work with provate profiles.

- added option to open links in new or same window/tab (new by default)
- added option to keep or remove the cool new people & featured profile.
- added option for “Edit Comments” link underneath comments.
- this script loads your comments by viewing your profile everytime your homepage is refreshed. so your views ARE gonna go up by 1 on every refresh.
its not showing the “comments on homepage”so what do i do??
well i don’t understand how to do it cause i got firefox and grease monkey but it says nothing about showing comments on homepage
go through the checklist:
1. installed greasemonkey?
2. restarted firefox after installing greasemonkey?
3. is there something else where the ad was (like a image from a custom homepage)?
4. is greasemonkey activated?
if it’s #3, just install the comments script AFTER a homepage design.
how do you install the comment script? thats what i need
after you install greasemonkey, all you have to do is click one of the two choices right below my example picture of the comments on your homepage. up there ↑ ↑
ok what could be wrong if it says “error loading comment?”

I tried downloading both of the comment scripts and they both are telling be they are corrupted when I try to open them.

ah man:( I guess 14 and 15 year olds can’t use this huh? Since it’s auto private for everyone 18 and above you’d have to be signed in and under 18. LAME! I wanted this one too.

I have installed greasemonkey and installed the script, the only thing that isn’t working is that it isnt actually coming up on my homepage. I’m thinking it’s because the Ad-Block Plus plugin enabled?

i cannot figure out this. it wont show up. i have other scripts that work so i know how to use this one but its not working.
well other users have had problems with this too. i never have?! there’s a few possibilities:
1. disable adblock, see if they show up.. then determine what filter is blocking this script and delete it.
2. make sure you install this AFTER a custom homepage.
3. i really don’t know what else.. sorry.

omg I just figured it out! and man is it cool! I’m so excited. I just can’t stop looking at it!!!
now if only there was something that could custimize the “edit profile’ page…
this is awesome.. i love it! if its possible, it should auto-resize the embedded objects (like video comments), just like the way the images auto-resize. again, i’m not sure if this is possible or not, but any video comments i recieve stretch out the preview box so it’d be a cool addition if it is.
hey on the comments when you click “thanks joyboner for v 2.0″ or whatever it makes a side scroll when you click on it so i would suggest either making the link smaller 1pk or give it focus so the dotted line doesnt show on click

I was going to email u this suggestion, but i couldn’t find an email address, or a suggestion submission box anywhere. This has nothing to do with this script that is on this page, this is a completely differnt idea… I hope this allows HTML… so here it goes:
On the view comments page, have little reply boxes next to the comments. It will be a very useful tool for “comment addicts” like myself, that reply to 100s of comments a day, it will help increase time not having to go to page to page, all u do is type in the box and hit reply.
I supplied pictures i photoshopped so you can see the basic idea of the script.
something i just thought of after i finished the images, was that maybe there should be little check boxes next to the comment reply boxes and u can check the ones u want to reply to, fill it out, and press “submit all” (basically a simple button at the top) and it will submit comments to multiple people.
If you have any questions of what im trying to say, please just ask and I can give u more of an idea of what i’m talking about. I would really really really enjoy this! and I am sure other people would too.
