2. Install the GreaseMonkey extension (get it here)

3. Close Firefox & Re-open it. (you might wanna bookmark this page)

4. Install one of the scripts below.

Sorry, This script no longer works due to changes on myspace’s end :/

you can even customize the colors! after installing, follow these steps:

1. right click the little monkey’s head in your status bar:
2. click manage user scripts.
3. select “Comments On Homepage”
4. then click the edit button. (click here for help)
5. replace the 6 digit hex color code with your own and save!

*follow same steps to edit other options

**if you’re having problems with the logo from my custom hompages showing up instead of the comments, make sure you install this script AFTER a custom homepage script.

v.05 notes & updates: (UPDATED 9/10/07)
- myspace changed an element id that was being used to grab the friend id, which caused the.. yeah it didn’t work, but i fixed it, again!
- also fixed the height issue.

v.04 notes & updates:
- myspace changed an element id that was being used to grab the friend id, which caused the.. yeah it didn’t work, but i fixed it.
- they also changed some coding that caused the script to only grab like 25 comments instead of all of them :/ fixed!

v.03 notes & updates:
- myspace fixed this one too… blah!
- pretty much the same as v.02 but this one works!

v.02 notes & updates:
- this version is dead thanks to myspace fixing things.
- now works with private profiles!
- doesn’t effect profile views!
- this script is using a hidden comments page, and will most likely be fixed by myspace soon.. so i have no idea how long this will work. if it does stop working please install v.01 again. remember, v.01 does NOT work with provate profiles.

v.01 notes & updates:
- added option to open links in new or same window/tab (new by default)
- added option to keep or remove the cool new people & featured profile.
- added option for “Edit Comments” link underneath comments.
- this script loads your comments by viewing your profile everytime your homepage is refreshed. so your views ARE gonna go up by 1 on every refresh.

  1. You should make another code so it hides the new “Sponsored Links” thing

  2. I cant see my friends comments. There must be an icon somewhere or link where i can click and see it.

  3. Did you know the “Ad-Slicer” extension on Userscripts.org blocks this script as it removes the whitespace for what would be that ad altogether. Is there a way of getting round this?

  4. Ok nevermind… I had to remove the “http://*.myspace.com/” from the include list and add “http://home.myspace.com” to the exclude list for Adslicer

  5. Wow this is awesome, before I just relocated the profile counter at the bottom of the page to get rid of the space, but this is much better!

A suggestion for a future version would be a “reply to user” link that automatically takes u to posting a comment on their page. I dont even know if thats possible, but if it is, it would be great!

  6. Hey. You guys know what your doing :]
    But I was thinking..
I want to see my comments on my myspace homepage, but I have AOL and don’t need to install the Firefox toolbar.
Is there anyway I can see my comments on the homepage without installing Firefox?

    Thanks,
    Brittany
