Instead of listing 400+ bands in your Myspace’s music section, why not just let people SEE what you listen to? I’m always interested in what type of music someone listens to, but the second I go to a profile and here music blasting I frantically search for that stop button. Once I find the source of that racket, I adblock that bitch! With this Myspace App, you get a real-time updated list of what you’re rockin right now, right there on your Myspace page. No more annoying people to the point of never wanting to view you page again… Sweet right?

So I’m up late still trying to get this funking ethernet working (see previous post). I was getting tired of booting into the BIOS and selecting which hard drive I wanted to boot from every time I wanted to switch the operating system. Surprisingly to get the option to select which OS I wanted to load was WAY easier than I thought.. huzah!

When it comes to this OSx86 business.. I’m clueless, but after 3 days, 5 packs of smokes, endless google searches, and joining numerous forums just to download a file that didn’t work anyway. I did it, I fuckin did it! I’ve successfully installed an almost fully functional version of the new Leopard on my PC. I say “almost” because I can’t get the damn ethernet working, but I still have more mountain dew and cigs on my desk so who knows…

The official release date was delayed for a little while due to a “glitch” but it is finally available via Windows Update. I’m downloading SP3 right now and it is taking FOREVER! I’d suggest you wait a little while (maybe even a few days) to avoid the downloading madness the servers are dealing with right now.
An overview of what to expect from SP3 can be found here. Basically it adds a few Vista features to XP (mainly security) but it has been rumored to also boost XP’s performance by 10%. Word?
So I’ve just finished installing SP3 and one very obvious change is my 3rd party Windows theme is gone.. No big deal, didn’t take me long to find an easy patch for the uxtheme.dll. (patch & instructions found here)

This feature has been around for a little bit, but I don’t think it’s that well known. So what this does is change your top friend space every time the page is refreshed. It randomly selects the friends to avoid the “Oh, so Tiffany is more important than me huh?!” comments.. Although some people still can’t read the bold text “Randomized” above your friends pictures, so use this with EXTREME caution if you have jealousy driven illiterate friends.
To use just click the check-box on your “Edit Top Friends” page.
well.. it never really closed but i killed registration due to some technical issues. but now we’re back in biz!
if you’re interested in gaining access to the private forum, please read the Membership Info page for more details and the link to sign up :D
p.s. as of today (9/10/07) there is a new pi*cough*ture code ;) get it while it still works..
How would you like to get those “new” notifications without having to refresh your page every 30 seconds while you wait? huzzah! With a little help from Firefox and Greasemonkey you can have them pop up on their own with having to move your mouse. OH! and….. bulletins auto update too, wow.
these show up automagically ↓ ↓

the page title even updates to tell you what you got waiting.. like woah.

Ready to install it huh? First things first:
1.
2. Download & Install the Greasemonkey Extension (found here)
3. Restart Firefox and navigate to this gnarly script. (script found here)
4. Click that install button like you’ve never clicked anything before.
5. Wait for someone to spark something “new”. (or you can just message yourself in a new tab)
that’s it dude.
