Wow, Autohotkey is officially my new favorite windows toy. In short, you can give pretty much anything a keyboard shortcut. Whether it be opening a specific file in notepad or pausing your music… Today I’ll be showing you how to show or hide hidden files in explorer by using two fingers and a keyboard shortcut.
I’ve always enjoyed checking out what other people are rockin on their desktop to get ideas for my own. Let’s face it, we all have one, we all customize it, and we all (at least us nerds) like to show it off. So here’s mine :)

A while back I posted an article on how to make Notepad++ look like Textmate’s Ruby theme. Today, thanks to one of our reader’s comment, I’ve found a way to port ANY Textmate theme over to Notepad++. Sweet! So here’s the quick and easy How-to…

I’ve been bustin ass this weekend trying to finish up this new layout. ugh! Took WAY longer than I thought. So far it’s way faster than the old design, a lot lighter on the server too. The forum is a lot bigger now :) I don’t know what else, my brain is beat up. I just thought I would brighten up the joint along with the weather.. On to the to-do list:
1. make the sidebar pretty.
2. add some more overall color, more graphics.
3. clean up the code.
4. fix mis-named permalinks.
5. change all the orange and yellow code font.
6. grrr! i’m too exhausted to process. I’ll finish up in the morning. Do you see something that’s all funked up?
sleep.
A couple of posts ago I told you how to block comments from these incredibly annoying Myspace Apps. I’ve decided to investigate this further after a recent visitor’s comment that was still having problems with blocking these things.. The solution, although inconveniently hidden, IS there to totally shut-down your app of choice.
A while back I had written a greasemonkey script that put your profile comments on your homepage. Myspace changes it’s coding every other week and it was just too frustrating to rewrite the script every time it happened. The Good news, I don’t have to anymore! haha. RunningBlind over at userscripts.org has written his own script (way better than my old one) that displays the last few comments on your homepage, and they automatically update too. gnarly.
I don’t know about you but I could care less about how much my friends are “WORTH”, or a virtual pet that some stranger bought me, or the notification comment that apparently someone has obtained my soul and now “owns me”. Or anything else that Myspace has ripped off from Facebook… So today I was playing around in my account settings and discovered that there IS a way to block all that crap from spamming your comments.
Instead of listing 400+ bands in your Myspace’s music section, why not just let people SEE what you listen to? I’m always interested in what type of music someone listens to, but the second I go to a profile and here music blasting I frantically search for that stop button. Once I find the source of that racket, I adblock that bitch! With this Myspace App, you get a real-time updated list of what you’re rockin right now, right there on your Myspace page. No more annoying people to the point of never wanting to view you page again… Sweet right?
